ABOUT US
The Hogan Hackers golf society, of The Hogan Stand Bar in San Pedro de Alcantara, was first founded in January 2012 with a mere 4 to 8 players once a month. However, it has grown exponentially to the largest society on the Costa del Sol with nearly 1000 members. This has been possible due to the hard work and dedication of the committee.
There is a Hogan Hackers outing every Saturday with the second Saturday of the month being the “Sponsors Trophy” event.
Throughout the year we host various tournaments, the first of which is our Nations Cup hosted every February. Played over two days, this four player team event is very popular and a great social event. This event is the only team event of the year.
Then in May we have our 2 Day event which is a singles stableford competition played on 2 courses. Again, this is a great social event over the weekend with the gala dinner and prize giving hosted at The Hogan Stand bar.
In September we have our Captains Prize outing. At the prize giving we also have our change of Captaincy. It is a one day, shotgun start individual event
And finally, the big year ending 2 Day event in November which has always proven to be the most popular of the year. During the prize giving for this event the Player Of The Year ,the player with the best five combined scores of the year, will be announced
WHO WE ARE
The Hogan Hackers, often referred to as “the friendliest golf society on the coast”, was founded in 2012 with the intention of forming friendships. Where people who come to Spain for a break/holiday could have a group of friends here ready to welcome them back and play a round of golf, creating a “home from home”
